What you’ll accomplish:
Strategic Communications Leadership
·         Develop and implement Orano Canada’s communication strategy
·         Advise leadership and teams on communication initiatives and opportunities
·         Align local strategies with Orano Group’s global communication standard
·         Develop and manage the communications budget
·         Manage Orano Canada’s sponsorship program

Internal Communications
·         Develop and implement communication plans to ensure that employees are aware of company changes, projects, policies and key messages and positions on issues
·         Lead employee engagement strategies in collaboration with senior leadership
·         Serve as the liaison for Orano Group’s global communication strategy, supporting Group communication initiatives locally
·         Produce information materials (newsletters, presentations, fact-sheets or videos) for use internally and externally and organize employee events
·         Support the preparation of public information and engagement materials in collaboration with departments for annual reporting requirements
·         Oversee the development and maintenance of Orano’s intranet, country website and social media platforms

External Communications
·         Promote and protect Orano’s brand and reputation through strategic outreach
·         Support preparation of external engagement with Indigenous peoples
·         Build and maintain relationships with media, government agencies, and other stakeholders
·         Serve as company spokesperson provide guidance to company spokespersons, as appropriate
·         Prepare key messages, press kits, news releases, talking points, speeches and/or presentations and organize media events such as interviews, briefing, scrums and news conferences

Skills and Qualifications (External Group Publication - https://www.orano.group/jobs/en) - 2000 characters max

·         Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field

·         Minimum 10 years’ experience in a communications specialist role

·         CMP, SCMP, or ABC certification is an asset

·         Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex information for diverse audiences

·         Wide-ranging experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of media and marketing literature, and other print and online communications media and audio-visual tools

·         Demonstrated experience in managing a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing program to advance an organization’s mission and goals

·         Up-to-date with communication tools, technologies, and trends

·         Demonstrates initiative and effectively manages tasks independently

·         Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of taking initiative and driving results

·         Anticipates future communications and public relations needs

·         Embrace and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture

·         Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

·         Promote and adhere to Orano Canada’s values: Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Respect and People Development, Cohesion and Team Spirit, and Exemplarity, Integrity, Responsibility

·         Functional proficiency in French is an asset
